Sports Ministry grows

Scripture Union Canada works hard to share ministry with movements in other countries.  We believe that we all need to share our expertise with brothers and sisters in Christ the world over.  Over the past few years SU Sportz has focused on partnerships in Central America, the most recent being with SU Honduras.

May 2009 saw an SU Sportz team leading a training workshop in sports ministry, holding a sports camp for local children and taking part in other ministry opportunities.  We're happy to report that as a result of the trip nine churches have formed a soccer league to reach their community for Christ!

August 2010 will see the team returning for the second visit, with the goal of training more local people in sports ministry and building on relationships with churches.
